    Hello, the past week or so ive been having an audio issue with my mic only while playing fortnite. I have a voice chat only head set, and my problem is when im in a fortnite party chat, i hear my party members through my speaker on my tv, rather than through
    my mic. Now i have already contacted fortnite about my audio issue, and they suggested i should contact xbox. All my other friends who play on xbox have the same issue, so its not just me. Can someone please help me with this? Thank you.

    Mic and audio issue

    Clean the headphone jack. IF this doesn't work you might have to twist it around to find the sweet spot every single time you insert your microphone for your audio to work . if your aux cord has ever come loose and you hear just the music to a song with
    the vocals sounding distant and muffled. It's the same effect.

    With me it was a controller problem and once I cleaned the spot where I insert my headphones it has worked swimmingly ever since.

    This definitely sounds like an issue with the mic itself. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer if the mic is affecting the audio like that

    I think that sounds like a slightly different issue. I don't get any chat audio at all once a mic cable is plugged in. I've tried a few mic cables and the problem is totally consistent. I'm waiting to test out whether I've got a defective unit here but am
    having to wait due to the stock shortages. My gut feeling is that this is actually a software issue. The fact that chat audio plays through the headset before a mic is plugged in, then cuts out as soon as the mic is plugged in means that the adaptor is detecting
    the mic and then incorrectly cutting out the chat audio.

    Im also having this issue. I did figure out how to get my steelseries 9x to play party audio and my mic audio. I had to allow game bar access to my mic. My problem now is the game audio doesnt come through the stream.
