    Mic and Headphone issues while streaming on Xbox One for Windows


    Is anyone else having this problem? I am on the TV, everything is working fine, I am chatting in party with friends and playing games. Wife gets home and wants to watch something on TV, so I slide over to the PC and start streaming on Xbox for Windows.
    Suddenly me mic cuts out and so do the speakers and I am getting all audio through PC speakers and they can;t hear me talk. Stop streaming and things go back to normal. To me knowledge nothing has been altered settings wise. I try an array of troubleshooting
    things, like unplugging mic, plugging back in, muting party and unmutting them. So far, restarting the whole console seems to work best, and even then it is not guarunteed, sometimes it takes several resets or leaving the party several times and a reset to
    get tings right.

    In the past I had this issue, when shifting remotes, I would have to go in to the settings and assign the controller. This doesn;t fix the issue in this case. Any words of wisdom? There has to be an easier way.

    Xbox not recognizing my mic when streaming after update.

    After the most recent Xbox update, whenever I am streaming to the pc I can hear but the Xbox says it can't find a mic for me. I am using the Logitech g930 and was having no problems before the update. I have reinstalled windows 10 (this with other issues
    finally made me break down for a nice refresh) and it is still happening. When I play directly on the Xbox (on the TV non streaming) It sees my other headphones just fine. Anyone have any ideas? Oh and I have tried this with the Xbox app as well as the Xbox
    beta app, I can still connect to chat through the app itself but would like to go back to joining parties while in the streaming session.

    Audio headphones/Turtle beach streaming mic

    Hi there,

    When the audio headphones are plugged into the AV receiver, there is game sound, but I cant hear anyone in my party chat. I only see their gamertag show up in the chat overlay. They hear me thru the stream mic just fine. In Halo 5, setting audio to Speaker,
    or to Headphones doesnt change anything.

    If I plug the headphones into the Turtle Beach stream mic, its onboard amplifier does a decent job driving the audio headphones, since the stream mic is powered via USB, but the amplifier is low quality by comparison to my AV receiver. I only got the stream
    mic so I could use my AV receiver to listen to my audio headphones in online gaming. I never expected or planned on using it to power the headphones.

    Can I even can plug the Sennheiser game headphones into the AV receiver and the Mic into the controller now? If this stream mic is already connected to the XBOX via USB, and chat is only available when the headphones are connected into the stream mic and
    both run to the XBOX wired via USB, is it correct to assume that PC gaming headphones with a built in mic also cannot be split (the mic connected to the controller and chat sound coming through the AV receiver)? Im starting to think both the headphones and
    the mic must be connected to the controller together, communicating to the XBOX wirelessly, or ill just get game sound through the headphones and no chat like I am niw with this set up?

    USB Microphone Supported On Xbox One

    There are USB microphones that will work with the XBOX. One that works and is made for XBOX is the Turtle Beach Stream Mic. I personally have one and works great. Before purchasing it, I tried a BLUE Yet microphone which is USB and did not work. I
    am not aware if there are others that work but the Stream Mic works. It also has a PC app for some fine tuning and a headphone jack for Mic monitoring and game audio

    Xbox not recognizing my mic when streaming after update.

    A patch was released for the xbox app, and that has fixed this issue for me. Used my PC mic while streaming earlier today without issue, so this seems to have been fixed, finally.
    Same. Not sure if it matters but I'm using the Xbox beta app, mic worked with headset plugged into the controller while streaming.

    Unfortunately you can't use usb mics with the xbox one, you'll have to buy a headset or use an usb mic with a pc while streaming from the xbox.

    Hi there!

    As far as I know, there's no way to record Mic audio from clips while recording on Xbox.

    I guess you can try streaming the game to your windows PC and record from there while also recording your mic.
