    Mic always showing that it is plugged in


    whille playing Destiny I noticed that even when I didn't have my mic plugged in an icon showed that it was. When I plugged in my mic it changed to the icon that shows when you are speaking through the mic even though I was completely silent, as was the room
    I was in. This is very frustrating as other users see this and think mine or their mics are broken because it shows me talking even though I'm not saying anything. Is there are solution to this?

    Problems with a controller....

    My controller always says I have a mic plugged in even when I don't. When I try to use my wireless mic, it connects to slot 2 for some reason. When I plug in my actual headset, I can't hear through it over 50% of the time and the only way to hear again is
    to restart my console. But it doesn't fix the mic issues. (it always showing one plugged in and not being able to use my wireless mic)

    I'm broke so is there a way I can fix this without buying a new controller?

    New controller says mic is always plugged in?

    Do you own a Kinect? If so, go to Preferences menu, select voice, select "Mute Kinect" option.

    Remove the battery from the controller, while the battery is out hold on the power button of the controller for 1 minute while the battery is out and then plug the battery back in and turn on the controller, let me know if it worked

    I have this issue also. I've had it twice before and it randomly sorted itself out after a few days. Still isn't working this time round.

    I am having this exact issue as well. Nat Type Open with all proper port forwarding. Tried getting new controller/headset. Resetting mac address, clearing persistent data, clearing and establishing my account xbox, testing with a different account (doesn't
    work), updating the controller (didn't need to), reconnecting the controller. Nothing works. I'm honestly glad more people are experiencing this issue so hopefully people will know.
