    my xbox one adapter is stuck on mute I have tried updating turning off and on and updating old controllers please help I don't want to buy a new one

    My adapter for my mic is stuck on mute so the yellow is always on and I can't hear anything. I've tried to update it but that won't work

    Stereo headset adapter no longer working - stuck on mute

    Deccman, this is my exact problem as well. My x1 is brand new (bought it tonight) and the cheap mic works just fine. The stereo adapter is stuck on mute.

    Does the adapter need to be replaced?

    You can go to settings and open devices and try to buzz your controller make sure that it is working and this has happen to me before the best advice I can give you is to look and make sure your adapter has no damage

    Deccman & Slay D, I also just got my x1 tonight (AW bundle). The stereo adapter is stuck on mute, the standard mic that comes with the xbox works without a problem.

    hardware issue?
