Sorry to hear it. Make sure the HDMI cable is properly connected and not loose. You could try switching ends or a new cable as well if you can. As for the console not turning off, try unplugging it and let it sit for 5 minutes. If that doesn't help then

Regardless of what Xbox One you have bought, be it an original Xbox One, the Xbox One S or the latest X model, all accessories work on all versions of the Xbox One range. And all Xbox One games work on any Xbox One console.

if its the original xbox one then it is no longer supported, they dont even make them anymore, they dont make xbox one x and xbox one s digital anymore.

must be just bad luck, i still have my original day one 2013 xbox one and it works perfectly. and it has had some hammer, owned by me then my boys then as a temp in front room.

I dont have pc but i used on mi phone and they work i tried with other headphones too
