MGS5:TPP What happened to my save (off line)

So to start out, I've moved and have no internet what so ever. So I am limited to a very few games, as it seems just about every xbox game requires internet. MGS5 is one I can play offline. So I've been goofing around with side missions, built up my base, built up my score in all the staff categories for the past two weeks. Then i started the main mission confront skull face yesturday. Got to the mission done and it said to be continued. Instead of playing more I went to mother base did a side op, called in a helicopter to pick me up. Went to menu screen selected go to main menu and shut down xbox ( all this I do every time to log off). Today I get on click offline mode again and it stops loading the game, says syncing, then loads the file game from two weeks ago. Huh? What? Why did it do this? Where is my game? I've watched it save at checkpoints during m y missions. Someone explain why in offline mode would it do this.

Hello Snoloh, as much as many Xbox games can be played with the console offline, you need to connect the console to the internet frequently so that it can update the system (mandatory updates) for bug fixes, and implementation of new services, and of course updating the games.

If you haven't already upgraded for September on your console, connect your console to the internet so it can update and see if it's back to normal.

Would if I could but again no internet. Still would like to know why it did this. There is no internet to tell my console that it's out dated update wise.

This is not confirmation that MGS5 exists...this is just a headline on a magazine..it is used to sell the magazine.... all it says is "MGS5 Details"... it could just be the interviewer asking Kojima if it will ever happen and Kojima saying "maybe". It's
be the same as OXM saying "Xbox 720 details inside" and it could just be all about speculation. Kojima is of course going to be asked about Snake and MGS5 ...it'd be like asking George Lucas about Star Wars..it's going to happen..weather MGS5 will ... who
knows?
