MGS: Ground Zeroes is 2 hours long

I'm not a big MGS fan at all, I prefer Splinter Cell, but this is the first MGS game I'm highly interested in because of the open game play. I know some say this is a $40 demo, but I will have to play it to figure that out.

[/quote]No. That was Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain. This is just the prologue to that game.

 

Somehow I'm not surprised. I hope the last gen versions are up to snuff. MGS has generally been about story anyway.

 

And about ten hours of cutscenes probably..

 

To be fair, Kojima has already said he wants to distance himself from that. This is basically a reboot of sorts, at least in terms of narrative and gameplay style.

 

Think I'll wait for people's opinions on here before buying this

 

Lol, and people kicked off when they thought Ryse was only 6hrs long.....

 

2 Hours = no thanks.

Im sure there will be a load of side missions to do etc but they must get boring pretty quick if the main story is only 2 hours long.

Since it will keep me entertained for around the same time i hope they release this at blu-ray prices.

I'm a spoilerphobe so I have to buy it. If only I wasn't such a fanboy :'(

 

Reminds me of GT5 Prologue which was a demo too sold as a full game.

 

I'll still get it since I'm a MGS sucker. I'll try do max out my playtime anyway by doing everything possible, and attempting harder difficulty runs.

 

I'll take these rumours with a pinch of salt, as the cutscenes and story have always been the meat of MGS games.

If you speak to the right people, Final Fantasy VII can be 'completed' in under 9 hours.

 

It's been confirmed it's been played through in two hours. It's not the full game it's only a tech demo of the engine that has been made into a prologue to whet fans appetites. The price reflects this although it's still pricey for two hours, $20 for
last gen and $30 for this gen downloads add $10 each for disc versions. Didn't see UK price conversions.

. And apparently there aren't many cutscenes as Kojima wants to move away from that and reboot the franchise.
