    MFS 2020 40th anniversary edition


    Does anyone else have the same problem ? From start up screen where you choose your flight path on th globe. So lets say I want to fly St. Louis to Boton it works fine.........but if i want to add my own waypoints by double clicking off of the direct flight path to add waypoints the game will freeze the screen and will not launch the game. I have to at this point shut the PC down. Please help this is a fairly high end unit running on widows 10.

    Are you using windows 10 or 11?
    When this started to happen? Since the last update?
    Are you playing the Microsoft store/Xbox app version or the Steam version?

    And, what did you tried so far to fix this
    In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed

    I can't reinstall my MSFS 2020

    You need to download the 40th Anniversary edition. You have already redeemed the code when you originally installed the DVD edition. The 40th Anniversary was a free upgrade.

    The DVD edition has seen many updates since the release back in 2020, to the point where this version of the game is now entirely obsolete.

    I own Flight Simulator X for PC and keep seeing Flight Simulator 2020 is a free update for PC owners of the game, but I cannot find it

    Flight Sim 2020 was upgraded for the 40th anniversary, which is free to owners of 2020

    No other version is eligable

    I mistakenly uninstalled MSFS 2020 on my PC but cannot re-install it because I used the redemption code

    All this link achieved was to direct me to purchase a 40th Anniversary edition. It didn't resolve the issue of being able to re-install my original MSFS 2020 Premium Edition which i have already purchased as a set of disks
