Metro Redux Disk getting stuck on Chapter 1 loading screen

Disconnect from the internet, reinstall. Looks like day 1 patch issue.

 

It's being confirmed on a few sites that it's Deep Silver's patch. Broken day one patching...Expect another patch soon. Disconnect from the net, Reinstall and enjoy kids.

 

thanks , I just started the second game and when you get the little monster it shuts the whole game down and boots you back to the xbox home page , so did they say how long until a fix and do we need to delete are save file also or just the main game and
re download that.

 

I have the same issue. Called Xbox support, they told me to clear the Disk cash, power down the system and re-install. Did it three times and I am still stuck at the chapter 1 load at 99%. What a terrible launch.

 

Havent had one problem. Did any of you with this problem start up the game before the install was completely finished? Just wondering if that may be the cause.

 

Reply to LoneStoneWolf, I did not start the game before the install was complete. Like others on both games it stalls out at 99%. I cleared my cache, reboot and still stalls. I'll wait for the patch as sometimes for me disconnecting from the net causes me
more issues to reconnect to my wifi.

What version of the dashboard are you running by chance? Just wondering if it's affecting based on that. Also I myself installed the whole game and had no issues till the patch. If I play without being connected to the net my game runs smooth and fine. But
I also run beta firmware...Even though I am not really shocked in a broken day one patch...lol

Give it a little bit and see how many users are really having the problem and that will give you an idea of how quick or if ever they will fix the patch. With how much it costs and the review process TU's and patches go through I would bet Deep Silver is
in no hurry to be trying to fix this until it becomes a large scale problem.

Lastly I urge you all to go over to the Metro/Deep Silver forums and complain. This is not an Microsoft issue and they will just tell you to clear the system cache/uninstall/reinstall the game (I stress you are going to run in circles as this does nothing
but remove the patch and the minute the patch is downloaded the game will go right back to having issues) Also if you enable network access even after chapter 1 the game will lock up and kick you to the dash screen. Feel free to call Xbox support but really
nag the support over at Metro.

 

@Gotham Not sure which version im running (current as I don't want the beta test stuff). I played last night at midnight without the patch to chapter 3. Just downloaded the patch and everything is still running fine.

Are you using disc copies or digital download? And if you want to see the version of your dashboard it's under Settings/System/Console info and you'll see the OS version.

 

Okay...I'm running 6.2.11505.0....Interested to know what some of the other users having issues are running. I'm running disc as well so very interested in this issue.

 

Looks like it's the preview program that's causing it.

 

uninstall and reload but don't apply the patch when it says update finish loading then start game It will say update now now update see if this work around works for you guys

 

I guess I just got lucky its been running great for me lol.

 

playing offline with out the patch works perfect , past all those parts and the devs on there twitter page know about the problem and its patch related so they are looking into it , so if you want to play don't download the patch so you must play off line
, see Xbox forcing us to update to even play is a joke at least give us the option .
