Metro Exodus (Windows) will not launch at all after playing one time.

I started playing Metro Exodus from the game pass ultimate on pc yesterday. Played for hours no problem, next day my game will not start and only appears in my task manager but will never go further than that. I have researched a lot and found no clear solutions.

I HAVE TRIED TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM IN THESE WAYS.

Reinstalled game twice, once on windows store, once on the xbox beta app, NO SOLUTION.

Windows is up to date.

GPU drivers are up to date.

Brand new pc, everything worked fine the day before but now it's impossible to start the game.

RTX 2080ti

i7 9700k

8gb ram

Yeah I disabled game bar shortly after I got windows up because it's annoying. Lots of people are having problems but not a lot of solutions at all... running as administrator is like the first thing you do when you have trouble. Ty for replying

I have had multiple issues with this game also on Game pass. Fortunately, it started working for me last time I tried. The extra steps I tried were disabling game bar: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-and-remove-game-bar-windows-10-creators-update

And instead of running it from the app, try searching Metro exodus in your search bar in windows, and run the exe as administrator.

This is extremely frustrating as it took me 2 hours to get to a point where it actually ran. But hopefully one of these solves your problem.

ok will this make me reinstall my games? also is metro exodus windows and metro reduxx 2033 the same? as i can get 2033 to launch but not metro exodus? metro redux only has 4 graphics settings wich is odd

also how do i install xbox app with admin privileges as i got it through the windows store in win10

I'm sorry you too are having this problem and unfortunately you're going to have to stay awhile and listen. There is another thread here with the same issues, see it here: Metro
Exodus crashes on launch on Windows 10 Xbox. The state of Metro Exodus is not good. Bugs ranging from unable to launch the game, Freezes and story progression issues have been known about since launch back in Feb. 4A doesn't appear to be serious in fixing
the game at this point, seeing it is now July and the issue is on Xbox One, and PC's Steam, Epic and XGP.

At this time, it feels as if they will release a redux version of the game like they did with Metro: Last Light which will fix these issues that you will need to buy again at a discounted cost if you own the original. I sincerely hope you do get some traction
with 4A. Good luck to all of us.

I don't play Metro Exodus on the pc, but I did some digging around and it seems to be a common occurrence with the game not running on Windows 10. I'll link you a thread with some ideas, but the general consensus is that right now nothing is fixed until
the developer patches the game.
