    Metro Exodus freeze thanks to save game cloud storage


    I have a problem with Metro Exodus game in Xbox (beta) launcher. My reproduction:

    1. Start Metro Exodus, skip intro animation

    2. Game freezes at this point:

    3. When I kill the application this window is revealed:

    It seems that window for choosing cloud save version is suspending the Metro Exodus application. However I didn't found a way how to display this window except for killing Metro Exodus. No matter what I select in this window after killing the game it is
    the same each time I launch Metro again.

    Sorry for czech language in the screenshots, I hope it's understandable.

    I found a workaround and I can play the game once again. A had to simply delete all my local Metro Exodus save files. Then Xbox (beta) will download them again from the cloud without asking silly questions.

    Nevertheless, this is clearly an Xbox (beta) launcher bug. Epic Games launcher is asking which save file version to use BEFORE game launches. That way it cannot disrupt the game process.

    Thank you for your post. I understand you are looking to transfer saved data from your Xbox Cloud to become available to Metro Exodus installed from the Epic Games store. Currently there is no support for moving save data from Xbox to other platforms.
