Discus and support Metro Exodus downlaod from MS store is stuck and cannot even be stopped. in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; So I tried to download Metro Exodus with XGP and it went I think to around 16 GB but then it stopped progressing and now in store there is "downloading...     Metro Exodus downlaod from MS store is stuck and cannot even be stopped.


    So I tried to download Metro Exodus with XGP and it went I think to around 16 GB but then it stopped progressing and now in store there is "downloading ..." above it around 24 hours and when I hit the "X" to stop it, it goes away for a minute, but then
    again tries to download the game which will get it back to being stuck in download phase. So it just takes up around 60 GB of space in my drive, and it does not download and it will not even stop downloading.

    I apologize for your question going unanswered this long. I will try my best to assist you in this matter.

    • open windows app store (microsoft store)
    • log out from your primary account (in the microsoft store)
    • go to windows services
    • stop "windows update service"
    • erase contents of folder: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
    • restart your computer
    • open windows app store, log in yourself
    • start xbox app (beta)
    • download game

    Its Metro Exodus that is broken. I can download other games from the service. The MS store says "Trouble is on our end."

    I have run thru faqs and troubleshooting guides, no difference.

    Worked this am but now Metro Exodus in not allowing download to pc only offers console as option and now I see Metro Exodus is gone from Store ??????

    I have the same problem with Metro Exodus. I tried downloading directly from the MS but it's stuck. I've several apps waiting for update there. I tried WSreset but nothing changes.

    Edit : A reboot of my router fixed it
