Metro Exodus Crash on Xbox (beta) Windows 10

Hi,

I know this been asked a bit, and it's a common problem, but i've tried everything and can't fix this, i'll explain my situation:

First of all i was playing the game perfectly fine, never ran into an issue on Xbox game pass for Windows 10. I was well into the game (about 10+ hours), and one night i stop playing, i shut my pc off, i go to bed, the next day i came back from work i wanted
to play, and what do i find? Somehow the game crashing after the intro cinematic, i hear for half a second the train (from the main menu) and then it freezes and has to be force closed. Safe mode doesn't work either, it crashes at the same spot.

I tried:

1) Re installing my nvidia drivers.

2) Deleting the config file so it resets to default

3) Uninstalling and re-installing the game

Gears 5 works perfectly fine, as well as other games outside Gamepass.

I really want to finish my campaign considering how close to the ending i was, i'd appreciate any solution. Thanks!

Hi There,

I don't play Metro Exodus on the pc, but I did some digging around and it seems to be a common occurrence with the game not running on Windows 10. I'll link you a thread with some ideas, but the general consensus is that right now nothing is fixed until
the developer patches the game.

Make sure you have the latest update installed.

I'm sorry you too are having this problem and unfortunately you're going to have to stay awhile and listen. There is another thread here with the same issues, see it here: Metro
Exodus crashes on launch on Windows 10 Xbox. The state of Metro Exodus is not good. Bugs ranging from unable to launch the game, Freezes and story progression issues have been known about since launch back in Feb. 4A doesn't appear to be serious in fixing
the game at this point, seeing it is now July and the issue is on Xbox One, and PC's Steam, Epic and XGP.

At this time, it feels as if they will release a redux version of the game like they did with Metro: Last Light which will fix these issues that you will need to buy again at a discounted cost if you own the original. I sincerely hope you do get some traction
with 4A. Good luck to all of us.

You are correct. I guess my app is not reporting correctly on my phone. Probably because there are two versions. Using the Xbox Beta app on Windows 10, search for Metro Exodus (Windows).

Unless there is some regional issue going on. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be in the store. I apologize for my earlier answer. Hope you get it working soon.
