Metro exodus - cloud saving issue

Hi,

The game used to work okay for a while. Suddently, it started to freeze right after the intro video or whenever i try to skip it. After it closes, a dialogue shows that says the loxal save game files are newer than that on the cloud. It doesn't matter if
i choose to use the local newer save files, the issue still persists, even if I tried to start it on the safe mode. Thanks

Have you tried using another account? Is it still the same?

Have you tried a hard reset?

it takes too long to do this with my connection, so, unfortunately i consider this to be sort of a last resort

have you tried uninstalling the game and reinstall it back again to ses if that fixes the issue

i'm using a pc, not an xbox. i'm also not sure if it will use the same save data if i used a different account.

Seems to be some issues with Metro Exodus on the Windows Store:

At this point, I can only assume it's being looked into since you're clearly not the only person experiencing issues.
