Metal Gear Solid V for $25!

Sounds like an amazing game but I heard it only last 2 or 3 hours max so imo its worth £10

 

I heard the same CROZ. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I read somewhere (and it was a good point made) that a user put it like this:

If the main game was released and this was released as a DLC, would anyone in their right mind pay this much for it?

Now me, I wouldn't pay release price for it. Not even going to consider it until maybe the week / fortnight before the release of the main game.

 

$50 dollars?! I know games cost more in Aussie nation but that's like full price for a game that's half the price here. I've never played a MGS game like Assassin but I'll get to it someday. Besides this game, which other MGS games would you guys recommend?

 

Yeah guys, chill out. I didn't come to post whether the game was worth it or not. Just to say that it's half the price of the Aussie retail price.

Defy I would either go back and get the 360 HD collection or wait for the full game to release next year (is it?). The games I have played I cant fault. They are awesome.

 

Eventually Ground Zeroes will be $5 like everything else. No??

 

The original MGS was my favorite game when it was first released. I'm not sure I would recommend it now, because so much time has elapsed. If you want a great MGS experience though, I would highly suggest Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It's
brilliant. It DOES help a lot to have a history so you know what's going on, but it's not really mandatory. It's a pretty convoluted story line.

 

That is my only problem with the game biz ^ keeping up with the time frame. I get lost so easy when games jump forwards and backwards. I did play the original though but could never make it to the elevator lol. As for the £5 / $5 bit, I imagine it will
be eventually. Or at least cut by a vast degree, then I will jump on it! [tag:CheapSkate900]

 

Yeah, I think I might just rent this game. The idea that this is more than $20 is just crazy. From what I've heard, this game is probably worth $10 tops.

 

My favourite in the series was number 2, the last one I played was 4, but I was not particularly fond of it, I won't be getting the latest one due to the fact is basically a demo for the next one, I won't pay for demos, but might buy the full version when
it's released, but am am not really a fan of the series...

This exactly. This would be an awful trend. People who paid that much for a demo should be ashamed of themselves. I'll get it when it's 10 euro or less which it should be.

 

Shig, exactly lmao! I put it on and popped out the water, but just could not make it to the elevator. Back then, I was a lot less turned on to stealth games as you can tell lol. Course when I cracked back into the franchise I loved what I played. Many years
after the above dilemma

myers, 2 is my fave to date. I remember when it came to that point in the game were it randomly says 'game over'. I was like.. ugh? lol.

All in all, a great franchise and one I am looking forward to playing again.

Nobody is probably going to care, but when I played MGS 1 on the ps1 my TV was really bad & I must have had the brightness down waaay waaaay too low, so after the first cutscene when you enter the base & are in the water, I couldnt see anything at all -
it was a mostly black screen so i had no idea where the character was or what was going on, so i quit thinking the game was terrible because they didnt show you anything. I replayed it later in life and found out I was a moron, but I didnt get to the elevator
either

As to Ground Zeroes, Length never enters into my criteria of value, but replay value does & its also hard to see the actual replay in this.

 

OP: what about digital? Is the digital version of the game cheaper over there?
