360 version for me then.

 

Haven't played Metal Gear since Playstation one. Might have to get it for xbox one.

Yeah, read this too. Even if it's half priced game, two hours is very little. I was gonna get this, but now I'm not too sure. Obviously if you rush the main story through without doing any of the sidequests etc, something like Skyrim isnt all that long either,
but I dunno if I'll get this.. perhaps I'll wait for the more "average joe" review for the game.

 

I know before Ryse came out a lot of people were up in arms that it was reported to be only a 5-6 hour game. As I always say, I'd rather have a brilliant 6 hour game than a 15-20 hour boring one but ( if true ) 2 hours? I'd seriously have to have think about
this even if it was a budget title.

 

This went from a day one buy to a not even concerned with the game anymore. I think Kojima needs the cash to finish the main game.

 

As I just see someone else say, the next gen consoles can take their time installing/updating so maybe you could play through this quicker than it might take to install? lol

 

Usually a MGS got 5 hours of gameplay + 7 hours of cinematics/ cut scenes....So for a "payable demo" this not surprising,i guess the 2 hours include cinematics,so let's say the movie got between 30 mins - 1 hours of gameplay.....

Might get it anyway,maybe during summer.....

I can't believe I missed this. It's only 2 hours long? That stinks because I had a blast play Guns of the Patriots. Even though it was a long game it still kept me interested. I think the Snake version of Metal Gear might be coming to a close soon. I mean
how old is he now, in his 80's? Still a good series though and even if it is only 2 hours I'll still wind up getting it anyway because I'm a huge fan of the series.

 

Guns of the Patriots was one of the best games I've played. I'd rather the series die than be watered down. I want it to end on a positive note. Before this info I would have dropped $60 for it without a second thought. Now I have a second thought.

 

2 hour campaign is a disgrace. I bought the HD collection when it came out and the games didn't feel the same as they did when I first went through them. Never played the game on PS3. The first metal gear that I played on PS1 is my favourite without a doubt.

While I am not condoning the length, you do realize it is only the prologue to the main game and not a full campaign?

 

I have just gone through the HD collection on the 360 too in the run up to this. I am trying to get the Witcher 2 done as well. 2 hours is way too short but it was only intended as a bridge this one I believe.

I had never played MGS3 before or Peace Walker. Although I only rushed through them I did really enjoy them both. I will always have fond memories of the first one for sure. It was leaps and bounds above other games when that released.

I think the cheapest pre order in the UK here is Asda at £35. I will pick it up for this still but feel let down for sure if this is the case.

 

2 hours? Well I guess I'll wait on for until maybe it's free.
