    Metal Gear Phantom Pain requires subscription?


    I purchased the disc of Metal Gear Phantom Pain on launch day from a retailer. I just recently attempted to play it and the game won't launch. I get an error that says I need to renew my subscription. This was not a Games With Gold or Game Pass purchase, I have the disc. The game is playable offline, there is even an option in the game to play offline. It's not right that I would need to buy a subscription to play an offline game.

    I think the issue is with launching using the game tile. The tile is labeled as Gold. If I insert the disc and let it auto launch it loads fine.
