messing with settings

Seems that when I'm away, my family tends to make adjustments to my xbox settings. Is there a way I can lock them out from messing with system settings? all I can find are options for regulating gaming and xbox live features. Is there a way to keep my
system settings from being tampered with?

Try promoting your account to an adult account to see if that resolves the issue.

You can create another accounts for your family members and share games etc between them. I think this is the best solution

actually I think that you can't "lock" the general system settings. If you give us more details about the specific setting we can try to understand how to help you with this issue

 

well, in general, a password to get into the system settings would be nice.

Specifically, it is the network. I game by streaming to my pc, because the tv in the living room is always in use. since I regulate internet usage (because I don't have unlimited service) they go into my settings, and switch from wired to wifi. So that
they can use their hotspot devices.

How can I stop them from messing around in my XboxOne's settings?

I don't think it is possible, The only settings that can be locked are Privacy Settings/Account Settings.

I think the only lock out with passcode option is account and purchases.... Settings are open

 

Go to sign in and security, then set up a passkey. Then choose custom passkey and from there you can require a pass key to make purchases, change system settings and sign in.
