    Remapping the Chatpad

    Would remapping the xbox 360 chatpad be possible? Specifically, I want to make the messenger button, rather than load up Windows Live Messenger, I want it to load up th Xbox Live Party screen. Is this possible?

    Cant Connect To Windows Live Messenger

    I have the same problem, with the same error number. signs into xbox live just fine, but messenger fails to connect. i can sign in to messenger on my pc though. id's and pw's are the same on both pc and xbox.

    No you can not change the settings. It is a default setting to open the messenger. But that would be cool if you could open the party chat. I like that idea.

    Hi,

    Windows Live Messenger has been discontinued and will be removed from the Xbox 360 soon, this would be why you can't connect to Messenger.

    This service doesn't stop you from being able to send/receive messages on Xbox LIVE, or your ability to talk in games/parties.

    To turn it off simply push the middle button on your Xbox 360 controller one time (Guide button) > Settings Tab > Preferences > Online Status > Offline to Messenger.
