    So ive come across some rude people in game and did the logical thing and blocked them. But even after I blocked them they are still able to send me messages. How is this possible? If I cant stop them from contacting me what good is blocking someone?

    Does LIMBO Excite You? Seriously?

    Voice Messaging is a No Brainer.

    Why would you pay money for "Skype" if you could use voice messaging and video messaging?

    Xbox One Messaging is Just Bad...

    Personally I think they should just drop messaging and ensure tighter integration with Skype (and also maybe SMS messaging) - as Skype can do text and voice messaging.

    Why reinvent the wheel there are better messaging systems/apps out there - they just need tighter/seamless integration.

    Hey Pyra thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us!

    When players are blocked they shouldn't be able to communicate with the blocker, the issue here might be that the profile doesn't recognize the block. We suggest either

    Powercycling    the console or
    Removing and Re-adding     the profile to clear up any problems or errors on it. Give it a shot and let us know if we can further assist with this or any other issue!!

    Also be aware that there are two settings: Muting and blocking.

    Muting "only" silences the voice chat of another person, so you can't hear them in party or in-game chat. That setting is useful if the player is constantly "noisy", because they have music playing in the background, or whatever else might be annoying during
    a voice chat.

    Blocking actually blocks the person from sending text messages etc.

    If the other person uses multiple accounts to get around an account block, you can go to
    Sign in to your Microsoft account and temporarily set your online and privacy settings to "Friends Only", so only known friends that are on your friend list can contact to you.

    Also if you message the person after you have blocked them then they will then be able to message you again.

    I've been experiencing this same issue for a month or so now. It makes sending messages 4x longer than it normally does and than it should. I absolutely hate sending messages on the Xbox One now because of this. I haven't tried the hard reset yet, so I'll
    try that out and see if that helps. Hopefully it does. It shouldn't be something that happens. Makes the system feel sluggish, when it should be a smooth experience.
