Messaging won't work

I haven't been able to send messages or interact with Looking for Group posts for a while now, maybe going on to 1 or 2 years at this point. This hasn't bothered me before because I'd never really sent messages that much, but now I'm starting to realize
how necessary messaging is now that I've also realized how I pretty much have only got online games to play with people (some of them requiring groups to play) and sometimes I need to make a LfG post to find people to play with but can't make them. As far
as I know I've not been banned from messaging and I've already tried the support page for this problem but it didn't help. Anyone have any genuine ideas for what I could do to fix the problem I've been having, and if you happen to be an Xbox exec, could you
maybe help me out a bit to figure out what's going on?

Messaging won't work for me it says this "check your account, Messaging isn't working for your account. Go to
Why Can’t I Send Messages from Xbox One or Xbox App? to get more information and see how you can fix it" and ive done all of it and it still doesn't work.

We've seen this happen before and sounds like this could be being caused by the network (NAT Type) Your NAT type, combined with the NAT type
of other players, determines whether you can successfully use multiplayer gaming or party chat. The tables below illustrate the differences between the NAT types and, based on your NAT type, who you can play multiplayer games with and hear in a party chat.
Give the NAT troubleshooter a shot and let us know if we can further assist in this or any other issue or inquiry!

 

I appreciate the response, but I'm still having issues. My console is telling me that everything is completely connected, my NAT type is open, and my internet connectivity is 100%. I can also still chat in parties and send messages through party chat,
but my private messaging towards groups and/or individuals is still saying "Messaging is not working" and to check the support page for help. Thank you for trying to help but I still cannot message anybody.

If that didn't help check out the
Reputation Check, and since the issue could be on the latest update the problem might be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest a
Soft Factory Reset
(while keeping games and apps) IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

• There is a stable network connection.
• The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!
