    Messaging and party suspension without enforcement action


    I'm unable to send messages over Xbox Live as it tells me I'm suspended, and my party error code tells me I'm unable to chat with some people. I don't have a message from Xbox Live telling me I'm suspended, and om the Xbox Enforcement website I do not have
    an active suspension for messaging. The last suspension I had was November 29th and ended over a month ago.

    I think this has been going for a week or so, but I can't be sure. I recently moved and have just gotten a TV and got my Xbox One hooked up. For the past week or two I've been unable to send messages via the Xbox App, so I figure this has been persisting
    since then.

    Before I moved, I was able to send messages and talk in party chat fine, and haven't gotten an enforcement action between then and now.

    Is this a bug? Am I either suspended for something without being notified, or am I suffering enforcement by mistake?

    I have spoken to someone yday evening as my son has a enforcement action suspension on his Xbox although not showing on my account so am unable to access what/why this has happened. Could you please help. Thanks.

    Support does not handle enforcement issues. For information about your suspension and to see about submitting a case review, you would need to go to
    http://enforcement.xbox.com

    It doesn't matter if anyone reports someone just for fun. The enforcement team will only issue a suspension if they have determined you have done something to violate the code of conduct.

    If you are able to start/join a party and/or join a multiplayer game without getting a message saying your account is suspended and what date the suspension ends then it has nothing to do with an enforcement action.

    Have you checked you online safety and security features to make sure they are set to allow you to join multiplayer games and parties?

    Com banned but no history of enforcement

    When you try and start a party or join a party what is happening?

    Do you get a message that basically says you have a communications suspension till a certain date or what is giving you the impression that you have a communications suspension.

    Normally if you do have a communications suspension and it is from MSs enforcement team you will get a message like above when trying to start a party or join a party. This is the easiest test to see if you truly have a MS enforcement action for communication.

    So let us know if you get this message when trying to start a party.

    If you do get a message let us know exactly what it is saying so that we can help you to figure out what it is for.

    You also want to make sure you are signing into the same account on the enforcement teams website as the one that you are trying to start a party on the Xbox.

    You could have a communication suspension.

    You would still be able to play online but not join parties,send messages etc.

    No the enforcement you’ve got is known as an communication suspension where you cant join parties or send messages for 30 days.

    this is due to bad behaviour, repeat suspensions can lead to a life ban from xbox life or a console ban.

    If you are not getting a message that still says that you have an enforcement action then you are not still under a suspension.
