    Ever since I updated my Xbox one, I cant receive or send messages to anyone it just says 'We were unable to get your recent messages. Please try again later.' and its been 3 days. Is there any known fix for this? please help.

    Sending video messages?

    I'm just glad no one can actually see me LIVE playing through the kinect. That would suck.

    Hey Unknown!

    The appropriate teams are aware of a similar issue and are working towards a fix. Could you try sending messages from the Xbox app, Xbox.com, or Xbox One Smartglass app? Let us know if those work out or not! Thanks for posting! Messages :)

    If turning off your console and unplugging for 30 seconds does not help please check here to see if your account has a communication suspension:

    Why can't I send messages?     page and let us know if that sorts the issue out for you. You will need to verify your phone number within the steps.

    i was told that because it's on iOS they won't take responsibility for the issue. But they are "investigating" it.

    I've been experiencing this same issue for a month or so now. It makes sending messages 4x longer than it normally does and than it should. I absolutely hate sending messages on the Xbox One now because of this. I haven't tried the hard reset yet, so I'll
    try that out and see if that helps. Hopefully it does. It shouldn't be something that happens. Makes the system feel sluggish, when it should be a smooth experience.
