    Messages via the account.xbox webpage not working.


    Hey,

    I have recently started having a strange issue with viewing my messages online. I was using them as normal, it was working perfectly and then I tried to delete a group message where the others had already left, which gave me an error. Ever since then, whenever
    I try to view my messages via the webpage it just gets stuck loading. It resolved itself once randomly and it started working again, but I stupidly decided to try deleting the same message, which caused the issue once more. - This was a month or so ago now
    and it still persists. I was wondering if there was a way to force purge all of my messages, in effect resetting them so that it may work again?

    Messages still work fine on my Xbox and through Smartglass, it's just the website which is affected.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    I'm sorry to see any messaging issues! You are correct in that this was an issue earlier in the year, but we have confirmed that it's been resolved. What we've been seeing lately are users that are not using IE or Edge on their PC and seeing these issues.

    Can you post back with what browser and PC operating system you're using? This will help me determine if the issue earlier this year is cropping back up. I look forward to working with you! Messages via the account.xbox webpage not working. :)

    I'm currently using Windows 7. I've tried using IE, Chrome and Firefox with and without extensions/addons enabled.

    Also tried disabling all anti-virus/firewalls/ad-blocks that may be stopping something from running to no avail. Like I said, it was working fine, until I tried to delete a bugged message, (which only appeared on the website), that had me in it and would crash
    when I tried to delete it. Whether or not they're related I don't know, but it did recover once and the message was still there. I tried to delete again and it's been stuck ever since. - This was on Chrome when the issue started, but it doesn't load on any
    other browser either now.

  7. Weird, for sure. Sounds like it's not related to the original issue we had earlier this year, but something else on your account on the website. I've got some clarification questions that should help me find out where I need to start with this.

    Are you solely on Xbox 360? And was the group convo started by you or someone else? Do you remember what the error said when it happened? (With how long ago it was, I'm not expecting you to remember, but it could help me out if you do.) Does the group convo
    still show up on the Smartglass app or your 360?

    I feel these will give me a good place to start. We can sort out where we go from there. Messages via the account.xbox webpage not working. :)

    Yes, I currently only use a 360, the convo was started by me through the website, adding their names individually, in which they left and it was just me in the conversation. The error itself just said something along the lines of "an error has occurred, try
    again later", I honestly couldn't tell you if there was an error code or not. I also can't remeber exactly how long ago it was, but it was definitely less than 3 months as I was hoping leaving it a while would fix it. (I use the online site to message a lot
    as it is extremely useful in-game).

    Also no, it doesn't show up anywhere else, only on the website, which doesn't actually load anymore. I mean, if it's possible on your end to completely delete any messages I've ever received or sent, that could fix it and I don't mind you doing so. It just
    feels coincidental that it happened twice deleting the same message.

    I realise this may be a pointless endeavour at this point. But I'd like to add that I've tested messages on three separate accounts now; my fathers, girlfriends and my own. The only account which does not work, you guessed it! Mine. Messages via the account.xbox webpage not working. :(

    This is what leads me to believe the system or whatever may still be trying to delete this strange group message which caused the issue in the first place. Is it completely out of the question for you to 'reset/purge' my account? Literally at this point
    I don't even care if the whole thing is reset, gamerscore and all. So long as the issue gets fixed. It's completely crippling at times not being able to use the online messaging feature. Most of my time spent on Xbox Live is playing Black Ops 1 Zombies - which
    as you may know, is quite impossible to pause.

    The issue has not resolved itself now for almost 4 months now and I doubt it ever will unless something is done via your end.
