Messages on the console not working

My messages system via the Xbox one will not let me go down more than 3 people before it snaps back to the top of the list. It will not let me select new message either. I also can't delete any conversations or open a new message. If i want to read a message
and do not hold the Xbox button to see it i have to use my laptop. I have tried 2 hard restarts of the console and nothing has worked. My last thought is to do a factory reset to defaults but not sure if that will even work plus that's a lot of data to have
to install all over again. Can anybody out there please help? I have tried to do a chat with tech but as you can see i am here since nobody ever answered the chat request or what ever.

So the past few months I've been using the xbox.com and the messages will not load.

Can't send anymore messages

I tried to send messages on Xbox 360 console and on the Xbox.com, both not works. I tried now too Smartglass and im not sure if it working, i am getting no responds, no message of xbox if it was possible to send the messages or not and i am getting no responds
of my friends too, so i am thinking it still not working. I'm desperate! :/

Okay, i fixed the issue and just needed a little time to think about it so here is what i did. First off i realized its an app and like the games the apps run 24/7. I went from my home screen and hit the menu (start on 360) button and saw the word quit.
Hit that and closed the app. Upon reopening of the app it loaded and is now working fine.

Have you tried the Xbox app on PC and Android to see if you can get messages?

I tried that link and put in phone # and sends code, put that in sent to another page then another, spent over an hour trying to fix this issue. I think it has been over a year that I was able to message clan members or answer messages sent to me. HOW about
fix the issue or put up some kind of link ( your good at links ) that will take you to the page that will fix the problem .

Let's have you try this guide for messages, specifically the part with updating security proofs to see if that helps out. Be sure to power cycle your
Xbox console afterwards to see if it helps!

There has been known issues with the messaging system since the recent update to change messages and group messages. I have issues as well, where I won't get a message at all on the console, but if I look on my app, I have a new message there. Or also
on the console, when I get a message and try to view it, it only shows me a message from weeks ago as the last message I recieved. It's having a lot of issues, so it's not just you. Hopefully it works itself out soon. :/
