    Messages not updating


    the messages on my Xbox will not update. I can send messages if I do it from the persons profile & they get them. I just can not see new messages. If I delete messages the next time I go to my messages they are back. What can I do to fix this?

    Messages and Friends List not updating

    So for the past few day my messages haven't been working Properly. My Xbox will notify me that I have gotten a message but when I get there, it has the same messages that were there before it broke. Also if you try to delete them messages, they just come
    right back. My friends list broke yesterday. By that I mean, it won't update and I know these people haven't been using the same app or game for the last 24 hours. Please help me to fix this because messages are a big part of my Xbox usage as well as my friends
    list because when they are on, I usually play FH3 or Minecraft with them.

    that is an ongoing problem for alot of people im sure xbox has some kind of update that will come out soon that will fix that problem

    You're right, and I hope so. I imagine there will be an update to the mobile apps with those features, but I do know the

    new chat is in the new Game Bar that is rolling out now.     So I'm not sure if they'll also put it in the Xbox App on Win10, as it seems they are poised to replace it with the Game Bar (speculation).

    Weird that it's a one-on-one. I had a similar issue with achievements a while back, and it cleared up after a bit.

    One thing you could do to troubleshoot is delete that thread, and start a new one and see if it has the same issues?

    I always have the same problem since I have my Xbox. I think is a sync issue.

    The update is in process of rolling out, and can take some time for it to come to you via Windows Update directly, but there are ways to force that update, like

    using the Update Assistant which is what I used to get it, to be honest.

    I do hope they do something with the Xbox App. The Game Pass app is a lot speedier on mobile , and the GoG Galaxy 2 app is basically what I was hoping that the Xbox App would become.

    Best we can do is provide feedback to the team and let them know what we'd like to see and how we think it can be improved.
