messages not sending on xbox or phone app

I just got my xbox one and started a year of gold live. I went to message someone but it kept giving me the error message that something is wrong with my account. I followed the link and did the reputation check, and followed the rest of the steps. Even
after doing all that still could not message on the xbox or the app on my phone, yet when i tried on my pc it messaged no trouble. and yes the people i am messaging are on my friends list. So any other ideas out there that may help?

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having issues with your messages not sending on your devices. Have you taken a look at

Xbox One online safety and privacy settings. Make sure in your privacy and online safety settings are set to allow communications. You can also do it from your console's "Settings' under the "Account" go to the "Privacy & Online Safety". Xbox Live Settings
then where it says Communication. Make sure sending messages is enabled.

Remove the profile and then add it back on and hard restart should work . The phone has issues because of the xbox live settings that your accout it having . It should clear up after you fix the console
