Messages not refreshing

I have the exact same problem,it only started doin this yesterday.i thought it might have been just me

You can restart your console by keeping the power button for 10 seconds, in the same way since the weekend there is an error that old messages are recorded again. Maybe in an update that error is solved.

You can try restarting your Xbox by holding the power button on your Xbox for 10 seconds. If that doesn't help resolved the problem you can try removing then readd your profile back. Lastly, is your Xbox up to date? Here's how to see:

1. Make sure your console is connected to the internet, and then press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select System > Settings.
3. Select System > Updates & downloads.
4. Under "Updates", you’ll see:
   • Console update available. Select this button to begin your update, or
   • No console update available. This means your console is up to date.

If no update is available, your console is up to date.

Just refresh the message hub and try to send the message again

Woah. spoke too soon. Went back on the app, refreshed the messages, and my friend is back to being not on my message list and old messages popping up
