Messages not coming through from friends on my Xbox 360

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me with this problem. I am not receiving messages that friends send to me on my Xbox 360. However, if I restart my console they will appear with the time stamp from when my friends sent them. Also it seems the messages
I send don't seem to go through to them either. I don't receive any kind of error message.

I have tried clearing my cache, deleting my profile and then downloading it again, powering off console completely, powering off my modem/router. This has been happening for the last couple of weeks or so. I have not had a problem previous to this.

Please someone help, this is driving me bananas.

Friends online notifications for xbox one

It seems that on xbox one the notifications for xbox 360 friends coming online don't work.

I only get notifications for friends who are connecting through an xbox one but not for my xbox 360 friends. I have my preferences set to all.

is this normal?

 

Unable to chat on Minecraft windows 10 edition due to "the way my Xbox Live account is set-up"

I would also like to add that my friend is able to chat but her messages aren't coming through on my side.

 

Hey Mickford! Are you experiencing this issue with multiple Xbox 360 friends or just one? Do the messages come through on Xbox.com or the Windows 10 or phone apps? Post back and let us know!

Hi. Thanks for the response. It is happening with more than one friend. Messages do sometimes appear on Xbox.com but not every time.

 

Hey Mickford! Do messages from these friends show up if they're sent from Xbox.com rather than the Xbox 360? Post back and let me know!

Hi Mister Cizl. Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. It doesn't seem to matter what platform the messages are coming from. Also the problem seems to have gotten worse as of today. I am now getting an error message when trying to send a message on
my Xbox 360. It is saying "Can't complete this process. Please try again. For more info, visit www.xbox.com/support". So frustrating.

 

I have just tried sending a message on the same console with a different gamertag and it sends fine, so I know it's not my connection or console. Please help.

 

Have also just tried deleting my profile off my console and re-downloading it again. Also cleared my system cache 3 or 4 times and powered off my console completely which also included unplugging from the wall. No change. Why can't I send messages?
