    Hey guys

    I'm having this problem when I bring up the messages I can't navigate through them but I can use my controller for everything else.

    Anyone ever had the same problem? What can I do?

    it's not a bug it's your console having a problem.

    sounds like your machine needs some good maintenance but unfortunately opening up a xbox just to clear and clean out all the dust would void it's warranty.

    that reminds me it's mine is due for a good cleaning, just cleaned out my desktop computer that was full of dust.

    Try resetting the Xbox hold the power button on front of the Xbox until it turns off then unplug it for 5-10 mins

    No probs glad it helped usually if there is an issue with the Xbox its the first thing I try messages bug :)

    I would like to add that Xbox services are currently acting strange, so give it a couple days to see if its the server issue. If not you'll have to submit a ticket to Xbox

    I encountered this bug today and I had an unread message that would not go away.

    so I clicked where it said 1 unread message and it took me to a chat (I'm pretty sure I'd already read it) and the notification went away.

    maybe this will work for you as well

    Xbox is aware of this issue and currently working on resolving this issue. I know this can frustrating but you keep yourself updated on this issue by following XboxSupport on twitter.
