Messages aren't sending

Discus and support Messages aren't sending in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I can't send any messages via xbox live. I've checked and I'm not banned or anything so what's up?     I can't send any messages via xbox live. I've checked and I'm not banned or anything so what's up? Help me please!

    Sorry to hear that you're unable to send messages. Let's have you power cycle your Xbox One if you haven't already first. It might also be necessary to reset your
    router/modem as well.

    Yes. I have had the same problem sending messages to people who aren't on my friends list. It's been going on for 3 months. If I send them a friend request and if the friend request is pending I am able to send them a message with no problem. If they aren't
    on my friends list I get a message that says message could not be sent "xbox live" I am on the phone with microsoft now and they don't know what's going on. If I send them a message like 15 or 20 tries sometimes I can get a message to go through.

    Hunt down an official xbox support member, and using the envelope icon under one of their posts, send them a private message on the matter.

    When adding friends or sending messages, they are not. And most other cases they aren't. What are you trying to do that is giving you an error?
