Messages app wont load

I receive notifications for new messages; however, whenever I try to open them using the Messages app on my console the app tries to load them and never does. I also cant send any. Messaging works on my phone through the Smartglass app but it's really
annoying that it doesn't work on the console. Anyone have any advice on what to do?

Xbox one my messages wont load

i cant view my messages on my xbox one they wont load , when someone sends me a message it wont load it ethier i can only send messages out through the person profile/ send message

xbox dashboard issues..

anyone else having xb1 dashboard issues???

startup is fine... getting in and out of apps is fine.. but it wont load anything but the home screen... wont load my pins or anything to the right of home screen.

this was after a unplug/reset fresh startup... i even tested my network thru xb1 and it says working fine with a check mark... but yet nothing loads up... earlier it even showed the gears as if xblive/network was down but i could still navigate my apps on home screen.

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with messages. Have you tried power cycling your Xbox One first? Additionally, are you receiving "Message Can
Not Be Sent"? If so, you will get this message when you exceed your daily limit of messages.

So i use the IOS app and my messages wont load, they load perfectly fine on my xbox, but it shows i got no notifications when i try my app, i tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, restarting it, logging out and logging back it, and a few other
things but they wont load.

So i did research and it turns out that this has been going on for a while, but i dont know the solution to fix it :/

there is but i cant even load the app to remove it from my console...you can search and find it..my console wont do anything but time out and get the "Its taking too long...." message

Maybe it is in your friends settings? Before you send and receive messages, also referred to as chats, consider choosing who can communicate with you by text and voice—on Xbox Live and in multiplayer
games outside of Xbox Live. Do this by pressing the Xbox button  on
your controller to open the guide, and then selecting System > Settings > General > Online
safety & family > Privacy & online safety > Xbox Live privacy > View
details & customise > Communication & multiplayer.
