My account has been like this for well over a month now, I have NO pending friend requests, and NO messages, I assumed it would have fixed itself, but it hasn't.

I wasn't sure where to post this so if this isn't the right area, will someone please direct me to the right spot for help please? Thx.

Had this myself & it was a friends request sent from a 360.

I was able to sort it by going to my friends list on xbox.com but if it's not there you may have to go to your friends list on a 360.

You need to check your privacy settings.

Your games history is hidden, so you may have turned on other privacy setting as well, namely notifications.

 

Everything is set to everybody besides my friends list, profile sharing, and online status, but that says for xbox 360 only.

 

Have you checked your notifications are turned on?

 

1.Privacy-Everybody

2.Xbox One Online Safety-Allow

3.Xbox 360 Online Safety-Allowed

I just changed everything to make sure it's all open.

Note: I do not play on the 360 anymore, I play on the one, and the Messages (1) ONLY appears on this site, not the actual console, that's why I am so confused about this.

 

Something is really jacked up man! Now my game history and what not isn't even showing up after I opened it all up.

First page didn't help, and I believe I posted in the support section awhile back and never got a response, think I posted twice.

And I just remembered that this all started when I got online here, on the actual site from my computer, and I noticed I had a friend request that I didn't recognize, so I declined it and that's when this all happened.

Must have really bugged it out somehow, still doesn't explain why my game history isn't showing up though.

Someone might have sent you a friend request via their Xbox 360, it wouldn't show up on Xbox One, Xbox dot com or Smartglass.

If you know someone with an Xbox 360 I would suggest recovering your account there to clear the message, if it bothers you that much.

 

I will have to try that out when I get around a 360 next. It for sure bugs me lol Like a spot on carpet that won't go away no matter how much you clean it.

 

I had the exact same thing,turned out it was a friends request from a 360.It did show up on my friends list on xbox.com with me.

 

As Daft & Cthulhu mentioned, it is either a friend request or a voice message on the 360. I had the same thing awhile back.

 

x3 exactly what the others have said, except what happened to me is I looked at the friends request through my friends list and not my messages, which kept the notification in my inbox on Xbox.com and confused me for a very long time, haha.
