    I saw the Fallout sale on the dashboard so thought it would be a good time to redeem the code I was given for buying Fallout 4.

    However the Xbox Live messages expire - which I didn't know - meaning I cannot access my free game anymore as the message thread doesn't roll that far back.

    I contacted support and they've linked me here and said I should make a post, explain myself and request a new code.

    Lost promotional codes that came with Fallout 4

    Hi there,

    I chatted with support and they asked me to post here. I received codes for Fallout 3 and possibly Fallout 3 New Vegas when I bought Fallout 4. The messages with the codes were sent from "Xbox Live" to me over the Xbox Live messaging app. The messages disappeared
    before I had a chance to write them down. I'm told they expire after 30 days but the messages made no mention of this. Support said you may be able to retrieve the code or codes that were sent to me?

    Can't redeem Xbox Live Rewards $5 gift card code

    I called support. They said the code expired (even though there was no expiration date on the email). They told me to post on the Xbox rewards forum and request a new code. Hopefully, they can help me.

    Having this problem, contacted live support who directed me here. I was told that I can't use the code on the website, nor on an xbox one - it has to be on a 360? Only problem with that is, I don't have an xbox 360.

    She then goes to say to post here to be told how I can redeem my code using the website. HELP!

    Usually, Xbox Live messages cannot be retrieved once they have been deleted or expired, and the content will be lost. Remember that they expire after 30 days.

    A member of the Xbox Forums Support team may be able to help you out, and will reply here shortly to help get your code back though (but I can't promise that you'll get a new code/a reminder of your old code).
