Message to 343 - You can make this right by....

I don't think wiping out your saved games was the same as clearing the cache on the 360. Cache is a way to store data for faster access later. In other words it's not needed. Not the same as a save game file. Is that what you are telling people to wipe?

 

I hope there is a massive law suit against them and they cant even make another game! they can go out of business for all I care!

 

To clarify. Clearing your local saved games on the system worked. It should restart your Xbox. Let it run its course and wait until it loads your Xbox home screen. Launch the Halo: Master Chief Collection. Let it load through the loading and title screens.
Click the three line button and you should get a message: "Syncing data for Halo: The Master Chief Collection...". As I stated in the past, your saved games are saved on the cloud except for Minecraft Xbox One version, therefore you don't need the unwanted
temporary saved game files.

I want to be clear before I did all this, myself and my friend completely uninstalled the game and reinstalled. This then allowed a 10.6 MB update and 1.4 GB update to load first. I still think a lot of people aren't unplugging their Ethernet and disconnecting
their power cord, which by doing so completely shuts down and restarts your Xbox One.

Think of the Xbox One as the Xbox 360 operating system. To get the most recent patch or update, you had to clear your cache from time to time, or uninstall or reinstall the game/ downloadable content. There's an obvious update/ patch flaw and I tried everything
these past couple of weeks. I noticed though since I uninstalled and reinstalled the game it has improved tremendously. I also force of habit, clear my local saved games everytime I go to play any game. Give it a shot, you aren't going to lose any achievements.

I am about to play now, if anyone wants to join my game. I already cleared my local saved games before starting Halo: The Master Chief Edition. Got my syncing game prompt and already playing with no problems.

I think it's too late. Lots of people are frustrated and a lot of people have already gotten rid of their copies. I'll stick with Halo no matter what, but the population is taking a hit by the day.

 

Seems to be the only way to combat this is to not pre order Halo 5.

 

Sure if your goal is to hurt developers. It does nothing to make the MCC work. I'd be happy if they kept the beta up. It made everything in the MCC undesirable anyway after playing it for 3 weeks.

 

haha. I played the beta ONCE and did not like it. problem is it took me too long to understand how the controls were set and I couldn't even get the timing down to use some of the abilities in the beta. so I gave up and quit. never did play the beta after
that.

MCC? pfft. I've played it almost every day since it came out. yes its buggy as hell. no, I won't quit playing it because I almost never have to wait longer than 3 to 5 min to hook up to a game.

the random game drops drive me nuts and game ending when the host quits also drives me up a wall too but I ain't going to quit playing it. new update coming soon may mean the connection problems on the MCC will soon be solved or heavily ameliorated. we'll
see.

 

truth do you work for 343? get off the developers nuts and stand up for the consumer! king blitzace is right! if we keep buying trash they will keep selling it! (just my opinion)

Good evening everyone. I regret to inform you, but the next content update is going to be tested in house at 343. Going forward, 343 is going to test before release all Content Updates or patches. In my opinion, I find this to be extremely dissatisfying
and problematic. These type of decisions, is the reason why this game still doesn't work properly.

I have been more than patient, but after hearing this news just frustrates me entirely. 343 fails to realize, if you don't test things out with the public, then you wind up with patches that make the game far worse for most players. I am also extremely irritated
in the fact that 343 is going to replace the Swat playlist. I love how the Halo community offer feedback and concerns, but yet again they do another costly mistake.

I'm extremely apologetic that it's now close to 3 months and you still are having issues. Overall up until this point, I thought things were improving, then I get a message that diminishes my confidence. Like you all have, I have been more than patient and
invested a lot of time to provide concerns, feedback and solutions to the issues you have been experiencing.

I'm sorry for sounding negative, but 343 really ruined a great game and concept. This game was clearly not ready for launch and only testing with pros, developing team and streamers got them into this mess. I am still going to do my part, because as an ambassador
it's the right thing to do. Clearly this game was rushed and 343 is on the cusp of insanity. Isn't the definition of insanity, doing the same thing and expecting same results?

I've asked several times and shown proof that for the most part my game and set-up has worked. I asked several times to have them mirror my game data and connectivity with all Halo MCC players. I had to completely troubleshoot my game, recall past Bungie
beta testing, to get my game to work. I was told that my account was costly to make secured and set-up direct connection to Microsoft servers. I think it's only fair that every Xbox Live account holder have the same security and connection. It's time for Microsoft
to actually improve there overall product.

I love Halo and Xbox. I just find it sad that 343 keeps making people lose faith in the franchise. It is extremely upsetting that a great game has been tarnished. I now after getting that message, begin to question was all my time invested to sticking up
for 343 the wrong thing to do? I never bash a company and know nowadays games aren't like they used to be, but quantity versus quantity is not the answer.
