Message on home page that does not exist

I have a message on my home page that won't disappear. The message count is always 1 more than is in my actual inbox. The incorrect count does not show up on my friends page, my XBox 360, or my SmartGlass app. I've tried doing a hard reboot and unplug,
removing and reinstalling my profile, and reading all my messages in both the notification and message areas.

Password changed. When trying to remove a console that is set as the home button on the right redirects me, and I have a message that the page does not exist. This message: Try another page. Unfortunately, this page does not exist.

Have you tied any of the following:

--Open up notifications and reading the message then pressing B to exit out?

--Hold down the power button on the console for 7 seconds to reboot the console which will clear the systems cache?

--Deleting the message on one of the few devices you have available?

The message count only appears on my Xbox One home page. If I go to my friends page it indicates I have zero messages. My Xbox 360 and SmartGlass app indicate zero messages. There is no actual message to read as I have now deleted them all. I have tried
reading the messages in the notification area. I have tried clearing the cache by holding down the power button and by unplugging the machine. I have tried removing and reinstalling my profile.

Sorry for this late response.

This is a very odd occurrence indeed. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue. I'd contact a support agent so they can further investigate the issue on your account. Their could be a pending message that might have somehow got lost in your messages.
Usually, this might be cache error trying to load your messages, which is rare in some cases. But the best idea is to see if something is holding back by asking an official support agent to have a peek inside your account.

I'm sorry again for this, hopefully they can find some was solution to your case.

 

I posted here after a long conversation with a support agent. They recommend posting in the forums. Hopefully the next system update will solve my problem.

 

My problem was solved by the recent dashboard update. It was a video message sent by someone that was part of the dashboard preview. I was not part of the preview and could not access the message until now.
