Message Notifications Not Coming Up On Xbox One Console

I've been experiencing this error intermittently for a couple months, and it comes and goes. Tonight it's been real bad. Im trying to use a 3rd party group finder website to get some games started. When people send me messages, I don't get any message
notification windows to pop up, or sounds that I have a new message. The only way I was able to tell I had a new message to come in was my cell phone companion app told me I had a new message. When i pulled up messages on my console, it would refresh for
a couple seconds, and there would be the message.

If it helps, I'm in the xbox dashboard preview program. So I'm on whatever build was pushed out on August 1st. But like I said, its been a problem that rears its head every now and then.

Not getting messages notifications on Xbox after dash update

After new dash update message notifications are not coming to Xbox. The messages are there, however, no alert pops up and the tab reads no new messages. The only way I know something is there is due to windows 10 notification on Surface.

Friends Online Notifications

I'm not getting any notifications for friends coming online either, messages, party invites etc. all show up though.

Are you On instant on mode? If your are turn it off then try a power cycle
support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

If this doesn't fix the problem try removing your account and downloading it again.

I just have to confirm that this indeed on the Xbox One console? Also, do all your other friends have pop up notifications when coming online? Because as per the following link, I don't believe that's a feature

Choose which pop-up notifications you want to see. You can individually enable or disable the following notifications:

•Skype

•Messaging

•Party

•Gaming & system

•Sign-in & broadcast

Though if that is the case, I think official Xbox support will need to look into this one.

Thanks for your post. I understand you are receiving unwanted notices from Mixer. Are you receiving these messages in "Messages from Xbox Live" or in your Notification Center? You can adjust settings for notifications by following steps here:
