Message issue, with large number of messages.

I normally have to many messages and I know they delete themselves after a certain time, however the last 2 days I have received messages but they haven't been displaying on the xbox or in the smart glass app, I thought there was an issue, becuase i was
under the impression, if there was a new message and a limit it would delete the oldest message and display the new one.

As it turned out after I manually deleted some messages the new ones where displayed, is this an known issue, or is it just me?

Issue with messages

Although i can receive messages and do anything else in the social category such as join parties, i cannot send messages. It sends me to the why cant i send messages support page but that does not work either. Has anybody figured out a solution?

Well, numbers matter and this number is going to help boost PS4 sales even more. Unfortunately, Microsoft sent the wrong message to their audience and Sony capitalized on it like a boss. That's what happens when you don't convey your messages properly.

 

Happened to me as well. I didnt delete any messages though, they just appeared when they wanted to.

 

Unless I need them for a reply I always delete messages as they come.

 

Yes all messages have an expiry on them. Party and game invites whether on Xbox 360 or Xbox 1 are only available as long as the session is open. I just had a spamming session with one of my friends he kept sending me txts on Xbox 1 we both have smartglass.
It started off with a simple Hey. I then logged onto my Xbox 360 and sent him a voice message I knew he couldn't open that.

Messages so far for me are working well on Xbox 1. Maybe some peps are not use to the Party chat or Skype video calling on Xbox 1. I haven't really touched those features on Xbox 1. You may want to check your network stats under settings and on xbox.com

There are several types of messages you can get. Messages from friends sometimes they spam you. And messages from peps who you don't know, or peps who go into their Recent Players list and send random messages there.

 

My issue is only in relation to the text messages you get (haven't had a none friend send a message for a while), and its still happening.

Not a massive issue, I just delete some messages and its all there.
