    Hello, i just come to buy a subscription xbox live gold. I brought in the code on my Xbox, it works. When i go on my account, it's said that i have well bought a subscription. When i try to play Fortnite, a message said that "your account doesn't possess the
    adequate permissions for the functions Xbox live gold". I don't understant that, could you repair this problem because i bought a subscription but i can' use it.

    Original Xbox 360 E74 error message- Solution

    If your Xbox 360 has failed because of the E74 error, you’ll see the following message on the screen when you turn on your Original Xbox 360 console:

    System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support.
    E74

    If you see this error message, you must repair your console. The warranty period for the E74 error is three years from the original purchase date of the console. If the warranty period expires, you’ll have to pay for the repair.

    Hi there,

    please double check http://account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription is showing there.

    If the subscription shows, try the following steps

    Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)

    Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:
    Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

    Redownload your profile

    If these steps fail, then its best to contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) at
    Contact Us | Xbox Support

    I would guess that since the Xbox was originally purchased as part of the 2 year gold contract, said Xbox is tied to that original contract. You may be able to get a customer service rep to transfer the original 2 year Xbox contract over to you, but you
    will probably have to finish the rest of the contract payments (I know you bought it from someone on eBay, but Microsoft isn't just going to give you their Xbox).

    Also, since it has already been a few months it is probably too late to return your Xbox to the seller for a refund (he didn't tell you about an outstanding balance on the 2 year contract after all).

    Definitely talk to customer service again and try to take over the original 2 year contract if you don't mind making the payments.

    I am also encountering this problem when trying to go to into messages. Makes it impossible to play destiny, as I can't use any LFG websites, and Bungie requires you to go online and find groups for raids.
