    So here's the situation:

    I've had a 360 for several years and I have quite a lot of gamer score and saved data accumulated. One day I go to my friend's place (he just bought an xbox one) and I can't remember my live account password (it's saved on my 360 at home) so I make a new
    one instead so that we can play together as the game we wanted to play wasn't allowing a guest to join in for some reason.

    What I'd like to know is if it's possible now to merge these two accounts together so that I can have just one account which has all of my gaming history, achievements etc or is this impossible?

    Hi Rauten! Unfortunately you cannot merge two Microsoft Accounts. You can link multiple accounts together, but that will not merge licenses for content or anything like that, it will just merge your email.

    Appears you wanted to merge the Gamertags of the other to your current one. That is impossible. You will have to stick with one GT as merging would not sound right in any way. Every GT has its own accounts and they cannot be merged.

    Sadly you cannot merge Xbox Accounts the closest thing available to account merging is making the other account your home.
