Merging older xbox live account with newer microsoft live account

Unfortunately there is no way to merge accounts.

Like others mentioned, you can't merge accounts.

Although, if you have an Xbox One, then you could get Game Pass Ultimate with the newer account, then set that account as the home. That way any account (the older one) that signs into your Xbox also gets the benefits of Game Pass Ultimate.

I'm afraid that it's not possible to merge multiple Xbox Live (or Microsoft) accounts into one account.

It would basically work like this, set the newer account that has GPU as "home" in the console settings.

After that, every account that signs into your Xbox should get most of the same benefits (Xbox Live and Game Pass). For example, if your older account does not have an active Xbox Live subscription, you should still be able to play online and join parties,
but it wouldn't be able to take advantage of the Deals and Games with Gold (you'd need an active subscription for those).

Although, since your newer account has GPU, that account would get the Deals and Games with Gold.

You mentioned the older account has the basic Game Pass. The home benefits wouldn't replace the subsciption to the basic Game Pass on the older account with Ultimate. It would just give access to those games and Live.

For example, after setting it up, once your the basic subscription to Game Pass ends, you'd still have access to those games on the older account because the newer account has Ultimate and is set as home.

Just a reminder, GPU also includes Game Pass for PC. You'd obviously be able to use the newer account to access the Game Pass library on your PC, but I'm not 100% sure how it would work if you wanted to use the older account.
