Merging old family Gold account

When our old Family Gold plan was discontinued, MS split our account into four separate individual gold accounts. I certainly don't want to pay for four accounts and I understand that a single gold account can now support multiple members, i.e. four individual
profiles using the same gold account ...

1) Is this true? If so ...

2) Can each profile be active (playing) on the same xbox simultaneously, e.g. two people playing Call of Duty online?

3) Can each profile be active on separate xboxes simultaneously, e.g. two people playing COD each on their own xbox? (we have four in our house)

4) Can the old individual profiles be brought under one single account and preserve all the profile names, achievements, friends, etc?

I can confirm that the family gold works fine with MC. I have the family gold with myself and 3 granddaughters and have had it since it was released and am active till 2013 sometime (merged existing gold accounts together so I ended up paying like $20 or
so for the family plan and then added time cards to the other accounts prior to merging with the family account so all 4 accounts got credit for YEARS!)

All 4 are able to play MC online just fine. You need to go through the confirmations that the last two posts suggested.

Yes, it is true. Each member of your family can take advantage of your Gold membership on the Xbox One. You can find all the details you need at the link below.

Just to add to what onyx said, the gold sharing is only available on the One. If you're still using the 360, each account would need it's own subscription.

 

Because your post is in Xbox One support forum I suppose that we are talking about Xbox One and "HOME GOLD" service.

HOME GOLD means that if you set your Xbox One console HOME CONSOLE and you have Xbox Live GOLD, then everyone who using that Xbox One console have access to GOLD services.

If they move to another console, then they need Xbox Live Gold to continue to use Xbox Live GOLD. If new console does not have set up as HOME CONSOLE from someone who have Xbox Live GOLD or someone with GOLD have not logged in.

EXAMPLE: If you have two XBOX ONE consoles. Make one of them as HOME CONSOLE. And let your children log in. Then log in with your GOLD account on other Xbox One console and you can play with your children who are using HOME CONSOLE same time. That way you
still can use 2 consoles with only one Xbox Live GOLD.

IF you have 3 Xbox ONE consoles, then you need at least 2 Xbox Live GOLD members to use them all same time.

 

I've paid for the Xbox Live Gold an hour ago, and it sent me a notification that we've paid, but now the console says that I don't have a Gold account. What should I do?

Yes, on the Xbox One, you can share your Gold membership will all the other accounts on your "home" console.

Yes, no problem.

Two might be okay - the Gold account can play on any console, while any other account can play on the console that is designated as the "home" console. Playing on 4 consoles at a time would require two subscriptions.

The accounts/profiles will still be separate - friends, achievements and such will stay with the respective accounts. It's just the gold membership being shared that changes - one subscription allows all accounts on a single
console to have access to the online multiplayer.
