Merging old 360 local profile with currently used Live account

Hi,

Currently I'm using my old 360 and my One with separate profiles, because back then when I bought the 360 I wasn't using Live. Later when I put it online it forced me to create a separate account, because it couldn't change the profile type. For obvious
reasons I kept using my old profiles, but recently it made me wonder is it still an issue? Or can I request a merge?

I know a bunch of unofficial solutions to do this myself, however I'm afraid that you might ban my account because of "suspicious" activities, sudden GS increase, mass achievement unlock, etc. I'd like to avoid that, if possible.

So please advise!

Merging 2 xbox 360 accounts

Hi, can anyone help? I have an old xbox 360 account which hasnt been used for a very long time but has a decent amount of gamer points on it, is there anyway of merging it with my current xbox live account?

If you create a new account, yes. If you currently have an Xbox Live account you would like to use you will not be able to merge them when you go online in the future.

 

You can't merge accounts i'm afraid.

Using any other methods or solutions to do so will result in enforcement action,probably a perma ban.

 

That's what I try to avoid. But that should be an "either-or". Either do this for me or allow me to do it myself.

I understand that the second option raises a lot of concerns and it shouldn't be allowed for obvious reasons, that's why I'm asking MS to do this for me. Pretty-pretty please I know the STFS and GPD formats from the inside out, it's not rocket science!

Nothing will help.There is no other official channel.It just can not be done & will not be done for you.

Being in the insider program doesn't mean you'll get any special treatment.

Like I said,you can't merge accounts & using any outside methods to do so will get you banned.

 

It's not about special treatment. I want to help (or get help to) make it happen. Because it can be done, it's just considered illegal if you do it yourself. I know about the concerns a feature like this can raise, that's why it should be the Customer Service's
job to do this. It's a mere migration somewhat like linking your Facebook account to your Hotmail. MS has all the tools to do it, but I guess because it's an edge case they simply don't want to deal with it. But just imagine for a second that MS introduces
its next system, they force you to create another account and you simply accept the fact that you are gonna lose all 400k+ GS? I know it's an unlikely scenario nowadays, because what causes the issue here is an old software limitation. But that's fine, because
it's something easy to fix, I only want my voice to be heard, that there's a real feature request here. So what I really meant about being in the insider program was that perhaps it can help me to get in touch with the right guys.

But what if I create a UWP app that can read USB sticks and helps you to merge the selected profile to your current account, can copy the selected save files to the cloud, etc. Would it automatically rejected without any further ado?

 

At this moment in time it can not be done.That's the end of it.

No matter how many times you post here it still will not be done.There are no "right guys" to get in touch with whether you are in the preview program or not.

You are just going to have to accept that & move on.

Like I said,anything you do to try & merge accounts will result in a permanent ban.
