Merging my main Microsoft account with my old Xbox Live MS account

I have two Microsoft accounts: my main, which is tied to my personal email and used for everything, and my xbox account, which is a much older account tied to an email I no longer use. I'm trying to sort out how I'd go about consolidating these accounts
into one. Is this possible? If not, is there any way I can partially merge them, or any way to improve my situation? I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks.

    :)

Merging my main Microsoft account with my old Xbox Live MS account

    Hi Tjlandry99,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. I'm sorry to inform you the option to merge accounts, saved data, achievements and any/or game purchases from one account to another Microsoft Account will not be possible. We currently do not have an available
feature. The one step we have available is changing the primary email on the Microsoft
    account
. You can however set up home console on
your main profile. Note: If you choose to remove an alias that uses a Microsoft domain such as @hotmail.com, @outlook.com, or @live.com, that alias will be completely deleted and will not be available to
sign in to any Microsoft services. A Microsoft and Xbox account are one and the same. As there is nothing more I will be locking this thread.

    Hope this helps.

    Merge two accounts?

    Hi there,

you can't merge accounts itself or fully move the Xbox Live Account to a different Microsoft Account, but something that could work for you is changing the primary email address for the Microsoft Account.

My assumption what steps might be required are:

    - Change the primary email on the New Unused Xbox Account account to something else (you might need a new MS account/email for that) so that the Wanted email address is no longer attached to a Microsoft Account.

    - Change the primary email on the Old Xbox account to the new wanted email address, so that that Wanted email address can be used to sign in to the Xbox main account.

See this link for the full information on how to change the primary email address on a Microsoft Account

Is it possible to merge 2 xbox accounts into 1?

I have 2 xbox accounts and I was wondering if I can merge my old Xbox account to my new Xbox account?
No. Unfortunately accounts cannot be merged and nothing is transferrable between accounts

Can I Connect My Offline Profile To My Windows Live Profile?

I have this same issue. I have:

    a) an Xbox which has never been online and ...

    b) a pre-existing MS account (which has never been associated with an Xbox account).

(I know they're all merged now, but I'm using the names 'Xbox' vs. 'MS' for clarity). Am I to understand the steps to merge them are as follows:

    1. On my acutal XBox device, I make the offline Xbox account into Online Xbox Live account (using the gamertag I want)

    2. Somewhere (don't know where), I change the MS account associated with my newly-created gamertag/Xbox account to my pre-existing MS account.

Does this sound right? Where is step 2 done? On my Xbox or on my desktop? I read the following link, but it's not exactly the situation described here:

    support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account
    .

Of course, it would be ideal if an offline account could just be directly linked to a pre-exisiting MS account.

    Linking two Xbox accounts

    Hi there,

I'm afraid there is not way to link or merge two (or more) Xbox Live Accounts in to 1 account.

You will have to get access to that original Microsoft Account to get access to that Xbox Live Account, maybe the steps or links on this page will be able to regain access to that MS account:

    https://support.xbox.com/my-account/microsoft-account/lost-password-solution

That link will have all options on how to try and get access again to the account up to contacting Xbox Support.
