    Merge Online, offline profiles


    I'm completely new to xbox live stuff. just got a 360. I created an account on the 360 before I plugged it up to the internet. at the same time i had created this account. Is it possible to link or merge the two? Or should i just close this one and start
    a new one through my profile on the xbox?

    Yes and no.

    You can make an offline profile to play games, earn achievement and keep separate saved data for all your games. But keep in mind, if you want to go online with that account or using online or on another console... you will have to go through the process of merging it with an actual online XBL account.

    How To Merege One Profile With Another

    Hello,

    Sorry, there's no way to merge content from an offline profile with an online profile. They are considered 2 separate entities, if you wanted to have the offline content available on it's own you would need to make that offline profile into an online profile
    by joining Xbox LIVE with it.

    There would unfortunately be no other way to do this.

    Sorry, but you cannot merge two profiles together. You have already created an online profile. You cannot add or merge an offline profile to it.

    Mix a local account and an Xbox Live account

    You can you gotta click join xbox live on the local profile and sign up this means the currently existing online profile cannot be merged with the offline profile

    You can upgrade the offline silver to gold but accounts can not be merged for good reasons
