    I'm planning to get an Xbox One soon and I'd like to migrate/merge my purchase history, friends list and achievements from an abandoned Xbox Live profile of mine to the one I currently use with Windows 8.

    Is it possible to merge two accounts?

    I have an account I use for my Windows 8 and one I use for my Xbox Live, is there a way to merge both accounts into one? Keeping the Gamerscore of my Xbox's while having the login of my Windows 8's? Merge my Windows 8 account with Xbox Live account :)

    Windows 8 and Xbox Live on different accounts

    Years ago I used a Xbox live account with a hotmail account. Recently with a new xbox I have a gamertag with a yahoo account and at xmas I have a windows 8 pc but it won''t let me change my xbox live account to link to as the yahoo one is there anyway to
    do this or merge the accounts as the yahoo account has all my microsoft tokens from xbox live rewards

    Even Nintendo has some forms of account merging, and their online services are still primitive, so why wouldn't superior online services have it?

    It feels a shame to abandon my achievements that cannot be regained.

    There was something about moving my gamertag to another Microsoft account on a 360 but not if I already have a gamertag or purchase history on the target account.

    Even Nintendo has some forms of account merging, and their online services are still primitive, so why wouldn't superior online services have it?

    It feels a shame to abandon my achievements that cannot be regained.

    I have this exact same issue, and I tried to change the Windows Live ID my Gamertag is associated with. Apparently it is only doable through an Xbox 360, which I don't own.

    This seems like a major oversight, considering XBOX Live is now used across Windows 8, Windows Phone, Games for Windows, etc. Might want to build a web interface for doing this...

    Thanks guys, the issue is my Windows 8 is already set up with a whole slew of programs using a different email address through my business. My Xbox account which I've had for a few years now and has its own email address. I would like to connect my main
    Windows 8 account which already has its own live account to my pre-existing Xbox account so that i may enjoy both at the same time.

    From your Windows 8 PC

    On the start screen, move your mouse to the top right. This will bring up the options bar. At the bottem of that bar is "settings". Click on that. At the bottom of the new menu it opens you will see "change PC settings" (it is below the icons and has
    no icon of it's own". This will open a new screen.

    You can set your windows live ID under the "users" tap in this menu.
