Merge Confirmation?

This has been happening for 2-3 weeks and I am getting very very very very frustrated.

Everytime I start Bingo, I get the message: "You are about to merge this guest account with xxxxxxxxx's (insert my Xbox name here) account. Once this is done, it is impossible to merge with another guest account. Do you want to continue?"

the choices are Continue and Cancel

if i choose Continue, it tells me "Cannot merge account, this Xbox account already has a saved game account. Signing in with this account will replaceyour current guest progression as long as you are connected to Xbox"

so I then have the options of "Continue" or "Sign in with another account"

I am afraid to press "Continue" so I choose the other one which then opens a NEW Guest (i.e. Guest18573) account like i have never played before and the daily bonus box pops up.

I have chosen Continue before and it tells me something like "can not connect to xbox" and kicks me right back to the "merge account" popup.

I then have the options of "Sign in" or "Ignore"

If I then choose the option of "sign in" which takes me back to the original "Merge Account" popup.

If i choose Ignore on the New Guest page it does the same thing and takes me back to "Merge Account"

If I choose "Cancel" on the "Merge Account" popup it recognizes my Xbox account but it offers to let me play the tutorial again.

I choose "skip tutorial" and it takes me to a new popup that says "Multiple Connections:Another device is connected to this account. You will be disconnected.Please sign back in or connect with a Guest account"

*******FYI, I do not own an Xbox nor any other Windows devices (I have an Android phone and an Android tablet) and to my knowledge, I have never used a guest account on this pc.

I then can choose "Sign in" or "Play as Guest"

I choose Sign in and the "Merge Confirmation" popup comes up again and I choose Cancel AGAIN. which finally recognizes my Xbox account and lets me play Bingo.

What is going on??? Again, This has been happening for about 2-3 weeks EVERY TIME I play. It even happens when I switch between apps or the Internet Browser.

I have an HP Envy Laptop running Windows 8.1 version 6.3

I have Uninstalled and redownloaded Bingo 3 times. I have done the windows-r wsrest.exe thing but nothing seems to fix this problem.

PLEASE HELP!!! I feel like I am in an endless loop of Bingo insanity!!!

Merge?

why would it be bad customer service no service offers such services as it's not even possible

Name one sevice that allows it

This prevents creating and other unauthorized things like selling accounts or dlc

So since noone even offers such services and is a clear violation of the terms of use of many services why would it be bad customer service when noone does it?

you have never been able to combine any account on any gaming services ever

Or transfer nytbjng as their terms of use of any sercifes prevent ig

Is it still not possible to Merge accounts?

I just found my Xbox 360 account from way back, and i'd really like yo get my ~25k G to my new Main Acc.

Not possible att all even with manual help from the chat/support? I can Verify both accounts.

no. not yet. when i looked on FB, most people were referred to this site.

 

We have not been referring anyone here as we are able to provide service much faster via Facebook. Are you able to connect to any games via Xbox? Sometimes the "merge account" happens when you begin playing the game before your Xbox account is fully logged
in and if you merge the account all it does is apply anything you got that is locally saved to your cloud-saved Xbox account.

 

FYI. I have the same issue with this game. It wants me to merge a guest with my real account every time I start up the game.

 

I gave up trying fix this. apparently Helen thinks it is more important how i found this "help" page than to actually help me. I wouldn't have written all that crap above if this was a one time event. no matter what i do, every single time i try to play
i get that error loop. I don't own an xbox so this game is the only interaction i have had with xbox (games or console). Wingman709, if you figure out how to fix this, please let me know. thanks and good luck!!!

 

HandmadeLotus98, please don't let this discourage you from other Xbox type of games. This is the only one I have ran into issue with and I play a lot. You can tell that based on my GamerScore. hahaha. I will let you know if I find a solution, but this
may be a Developer issue unfortunately which is out of Helen's hands. I am sure she is doing her best to help us all out.

 

I have done some investigation into this issue and it appears that as of the Bingo 1.3 release (the latest title update which we pushed out two weeks ago), this should only be happening if you actually play under a guest account and there is any saved game
data.

Otherwise, if you do not have a Microsoft account attached to your Windows account (i.e. you use a Local Account), it will prompt you to enter your Microsoft email and password. Fun fact: Every Microsoft email address automagically also gives you an Xbox
account under that email address. You do NOT need an Xbox console or anything else!

Sometimes, even if you do have an account associated, your Windows preferences may make it so that your apps require you to enter in your Microsoft email and password when you launch an app that has Xbox cloud saving (as this one does). It may be that this
is what is happening which is why you are entering this loop. What happens when you log in with your Microsoft account and password?

If you continue to have log-in issues, could you please download the free app Shuffle Party and tell us what error code you receive? This is a free game that we also use for diagnostic purposes.

HOW is it that this thread and problem is OVER ONE YEAR OLD yet the same problems occur?

NEVER had a problem except when for some reason M$ couldn't figure out that within ONE DAY (under 24 hrs) I was accessing the Bingo game FROM THE EXACT SAME ACCOUNT. Actually made it seem that my Phone account was somehow compromised, but then *magically*
after I soft-rebooted my WP8, everything was fine EXCEPT the Bingo game which constantly asks "Merge?" ------- WHICH I NEVER PLAYED ANY GAMES UNDER A GUEST ACCT OR ANYTHING ELSE. I actually rebooted the phone, yet still, this message comes up constantly.
YET, no problem, intrusion or anything happened to my account, IT WAS PURELY A M$ SOFTWARE PROBLEM -- i.e. some little 'burp' somewhere and all of a sudden M$ systems get thrown off-balance.

Yet another reason why I'd NEVER trust you with cash transactions. "Free" games and you STILL can't have things ironed-out, even though YOU are the creators/operators.

UNINSTALLED BINGO AND OTHER M$ GAMES BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. I'd go Android if I could get AT&T service areas to boot. Totally ***-poor. But I will take some blame, after all I've only been using Windoze products since 98, which was
the last time you actually really "knew" what you were doing -- at least on a mega-scale.

The guest account message suggests that you might have played while not logged into your account or not connected to the Live service. Since you continue to experience connection issues and are unable to merge progress from the two accounts, I suggest you
run the Windows Update troubleshooter and go over some of the other solutions from our FAQ if the problem persists afterwards.

If none of the solutions work, please let us know.

 

I only recently installed this game and I'm getting this merge account question. I have never played it on any pc but my own, I have never played it while logged into another account, or been unconnected to the Live service, and I do not have a problem or
error code with your diagnostic game. This is the only game which flags up a problem. Usually I just press cancel and then it connects to my account. It is an annoying glitch which I hope you will fix at some point in the not too distant future.

Another thing which is annoying that whenever there is a problem with games, these forums never receive the solution first. It is always assumed that you have a facebook account and they deal with the problem there, rather than assuring the frustrated members
here.

one more thing, I play loads of microsoft xbox games and the logos never show on my icon here and I have never been told how you fix the problem.

 

I see the icons now, I was fiddling with the privacy settings yesterday, that must have been the solution, although I would have appreciated a response.
