Menus Don't work on xbox one

Discus and support Menus Don't work on xbox one in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So on my xbox one whenever i press the xbox button all it does is darken the screen, even if i open a menu through something other than the xbox button...     Menus Don't work on xbox one


    So on my xbox one whenever i press the xbox button all it does is darken the screen, even if i open a menu through something other than the xbox button the same thing happens and not a single post about it has been made.

    Underwhelmed and dissatisfied with xbox one

    Personally, I like the One and my menus work well. Anyway, I don't spend a log of time in the menus.

    Centre button turn on console but does not allow me to open menus

    I am having problems with my XBOX One controller.

    The Centre button does not work once I am on the XBOX. It works to turn the XBOX on, but then does not work for anything else. i.e. I cannot double tap it to open any menus

    I know you said you have tried resetting the console but have you tried a hard reset?

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.
    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

    If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

    Hi,

    This is a bug, just restart your console to erase the cache, you can use the option restart console or you can do it manually.

    Follow the steps in this support to Update xbox wireless controller firmware.

    The uSB method is my preference.

    You may have to connect the controller while the console is completely off and power cable disconnected.

    When you turn the console back on you may see a controller update screen pop up so let it update.

    If not follow the steps in link above.
