    Download option doesn’t appear

when I am on my Xbox and in the Microsoft store and click on a game the option to download, purchase, install etc. doesn’t appear.

I can not scroll further up and I have 1 TB of space on my external hard drive available and 100 GB of space available on the Xbox itself.

System is also up to date.

    Menu doesn’t appear

I'm currently having the same exact problem with my Xbox One. Except the entire screen is black. The UI doesn't show up at all. Only when I hold the Xbox logo button on the controller to pull up other menu works.

I'm also having the same issue with my son's xbox one. It started happening a couple of days ago, nothing loads, just a black screen. Pressing the xbox button on the pad makes the black screen darken a little bit, like the home menu SHOULD appear, but it
doesn't. Holding the xbox button down makes the controller vibrate, but the menu to switch the controller and/or console off doesn't appear either. I have to leave it for a long time and then it seems to shut itself down.

I've tried wiping it down, restoring it to factory settings, and I've recently updated the console, and it worked for around 20 mins before the error occurred once more.

    Any ideas?

Hey guys! Sorry for what you're running into here.

The Menu not appearing is an odd one. I've got some things for you to try and see if any of that helps.

If you have any storage devices connected to the Xbox One USB ports, disconnect them and do a hard reset on the Xbox One.

Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

If the menu options don't appear, try a power cycle next.

Power cycle your Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then unplug the Xbox console from the wall for about 5 minutes.

Since the Xbox is usually trying to connect to your network at startup, try and power cycle your network as well.

Power cycle your network by unplugging the power to the modem & router for about 60 seconds. Then plug your router back in and try again.

If the menu options don't appear still, try the Console Reset (for those having a black screen issue, see further down)

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
    4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
      Xbox
      button on the console.
    5. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, if available.

Then using the D-pad on the controller, choose the Console Reset and choose Reset and Keep My Games and Apps

The console reset will reset the OS and remove the accounts, so you'll need to add your profiles back.

For black/blank screen issues, try these steps -

    • Confirm that both your TV and Xbox One console are turned on.
    • Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI).
    • Check that the HDMI cable connection to your console is secure.
    • Check that the HDMI cable connection to your TV is secure.
    • Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console.
    • Perform a cold boot on your Xbox One console by holding the power button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds, and then turn it on again.
    • Reset your display settings. Here's how:
      1. If there's a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.
      2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.
      3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You will hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. DO NOT LET GO until
        the second beep occurs.
Note This will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, go to
System > Settings in the guide, select Display & sounds, Video options, and then
        TV Resolution.
      4. If you are required to complete these steps on every boot-up, you will want to change your TV connection to HDMI as shown in step 3 in the next section, "Your screen is blank and you use an AVR in your setup." For more information, see How
to adjust the display settings on your Xbox One console
        .
    • Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.
    • Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV.
    • Try connecting your console to a different TV.
