Memory change after format

    I formatted my Xbox 360 slim 250 gb to get rid of the previous owners info. I now only have 3gb available how would this be possible?

    problem with xbox 360

    my games open and soon after it closes alone, I tried everything: clear the cache, format the memory of xbox, format the memory of the pendrive and nothing works wanted to know why and wanted help to solve it

    4 GB Xbox 360 Update Problem

    Hi Frank, it looks like your memory unit got corrupted there. As all the data appears to have been wiped you may as well try formatting the memory unit.

    -

    Go to settings/ system/ storage. Highlight the memory unit and press Y on the controller, you will see the format option, select that and follow the instructions on screen. If the memory unit will not format or formats and then becomes unformatted after
    you restart the console then you'd be looking at having to send the console in for repair.

    It appears that only the original internal drive is being recognized. The 250 GB hard drive is a removable hard drive that . You can try resetting the hard drive in the system by following the instructions here.

    support-origin.xbox.com/.../add-remove-hard-drive

    If that does not resolve your issue your drive may have gone bad coincidentally when you formatted the drive. In most cases resetting the drive in the storage bay will resolve the issue! Good Luck!

    fistly the internal memory was unformatted, also when i tried to go back to the default settings it was again unformatted, and now (after formating, because otherwice it says I have no memory to download cca 190mb of update) it is in status formated (2,9
    GB free).

    Should the memory unit fail to format or formats and then becomes unformatted again after you power the console off and on then you would need to arrange a repair.
